Cheap and Good Makeup for Cheapskate like Me :3 (And skincare tips)

(I had a writer's block I'm sorry)

So, since I finished my parts in my assignments and shitload of Powerpoints and Words, I finally have a short stress-free time to blog cause I also finished my midterms just the other day lol.

Cheap Makeup...?

What come to girls' minds when the word 'cheap makeup' came up?

Ah, yes!

Pharmacy/Drugstore!!

I know some drugstores' makeup products are expensive but I'm gonna consider it as a whole since some makeup sell in drugstores are cheap and gOOD.

1. Lips Essentials

My favourite makeup product has always been lipsticks. I really like to paint my lips with colour especially red cause I'm gonna look super badass~~

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick:

I mean yassss! I love Revlon's lipsticks.

They stay long for a RM38 product. They have nice shades. I own Kiss Me Coral and Rosewine and I L O V E Rosewine. Its my most favourite red shade lipstick other than my MAC (which it cost around RM78 which is expensive by the way that's why I use only for special occasion haha and it also smell like donuts.)

Also,

Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain

This is my first lip product I bought and ever since, I'm still using it. I bought it when it was about RM28?? like a year ago I don't know if the price went up since then. If you hate wearing lipstick, wear this cause it moisturize your lips and the best part, it STAYS LONG!

Mine is not matte one. I bought Honey Douche and I think it's a sheer one.

Wet n' Wild Mega Last Matte

My aunt's friend bought for me so I'm not sure how much it cost but I know it's affordable and it's quite famous among teens.

It did left your lips feel a little bit dry when you start wearing it so make sure you wear lipbalm first to moisturize those pretty lips~~

I own Bare-it-All (902C) and I wear everyday to class :3

And many girls and I personal favourite;

Nyx Lip Cream!!

London is my favourite shade!!

a. It stays long.

b. It costs like RM38

c. It matted once its dry

d. sO MANY COLOURS I'M IN LOVE

I loveeeeeeeeeee Nyx Lips Cream. There's no more I could say. Oh, it only sold in Sephora~

2. EYE ESSENTIALS

IN-2-IT eyeliner

Eyeliner is so important to me cause I have a monolid eyes and finding a good eyeliner is so hard. T_T

in-2-it eyeliner is really good but the tip of the eyeliner is quite thick so its hard to apply on my eyelids but it's still a gOOD product. It stays quite long. It's cost around RM25.

I'm currently using Nyx pencil eyeliner which cost me RM40 and although the tip satisfied me, but the product itself dissappointed me. It washed away so easily it pisses me off -__-

Mascara

I honestly don't own a mascara myself cause my eyes hate wearing maskara and I have sensitive eyes so I always rub it...

But if you want an EXCELLENT mascara; Use 'They're Real' by Benefit that cost around RM 78 for a small one...

But, I did heard that the best affordable mascara is from Maybelline which it's true cause my mom used to owned one and I used to wear it.

Eye shadow

Not gonna deny, I love branded eye-shadow palette. I love nude colours especially. Like Urban Decay's Nude (especially the 1st and Too-face Chocolate that I WANT TO BUY)

To be honest with you guys, I never found a good, cheap eye-shadow palette in my life. The cheap ones aren't tinted and it doesn't stay long and I'm frustrated about it.

I'm currently using Meet Matt(e) by theBalm

Isn't Matt(e) HOT?! lol

I love my eyeshadow, it does have some flaws but the colours are warm and I wear it everyday to class looking badass.

I usually don't wear blusher, foundation and such cause I don't feel comfortable covering up my pores...

For me, the most important thing in makeup isn't how much it cost, it's the quality of it. I love lipsticks that stay long and moisturize, eyeliners that actually doesn't piss me off every time I wear it, tinted and warm colours of eyeshadow.

Quality over price, am I right?

And I'm also a cheapskate okay, I admit it.

Skincare tips:

People I know always say that I have a nice skin (welp, thanks by the way...) but actually my mom taught me a lot on taking care of my skin so here some tips;

1. For people between the ages 12-16,

avoid using foundation or anything that will cover up your pores.

You're still young, you don't need to cake-up your face cause your skin at that time need to breathe and for you to cover your pores, I'm not kidding, you will regret when you get older.

2. Before applying makeup, washed your face first, then apply toner & moisturizer, also sunblock cream since this country is super hot it's annoying.

3. NEVER SLEEP WEARING MAKEUP.

4. Wash your face carefully after a long day wearing makeup. Wash all those stain thoroughly and apply moisturizer when you're about to go to sleep.

5. Seriously, just watch Korean dramas, look at them taking care of their skin.

6. Eat healthy foods. Like soy that contains collagen.

And lastly,

Wear makeup if you want to. Don't wear makeup if you don't want to. Wear makeup because you want to feel confidence and fuck all those assholes who judge you. Makeup is a form of art, and you're a white canvas are about to be paint with colourful colours.

Things Girls Should Know

A dedication to all girls;

- You don't have to be skinny to be pretty. Nor thighs gap, nor seen collarbones.

- You don't have to be curvy to be pretty either.

- You're pretty without make up.

-You're pretty with make up.

- Your grades doesn't define how smart you are.

- Wear dark lipstick if you want to.

- Wear nail polish if you want to.

- Colour your hair if you want to.

- It's okay for you to be girly.

-It's okay for you to be a little boyish.

- Labels are just labels.

- Liking boy bands and kpop doesn't mean you have bad taste on music.

- Like Kpop if you want to. Fall in love with Kpop idols if you want to. Screw haters.

- Like indie bands if you want to, screw people if they say that you're just being a poser.

- Read books, it helps calm your mind.

- If you want that cute clothes, just buy it.

- Drink tea to sooth your body (I recommend in evenings)

- Drink coffee if you think it wakes you up.

- If you want to loose weight, just remember that you have to loose weight to be healthy, not because someone asked you to.

- Eat

- Be independent. Don't always hope for a guy to be there support you.

- It's okay if you don't have a boyfriend.

- It's okay if you have a boyfriend.

- Don't be arrogant to other girls that aren't pretty/smart/talented than you.

- Go have a date with your boyfriend, but never ever neglected you friends.

- Go watch a movie while eating food in front of your laptop.

- Go out with your best friends, and talk with them about everything.

- You're not the only one that have problems .

- Learn new things, weather if it's a make up tutorial or the history of the World Wars

- If you're boyfriend is cheating on you, he's not worth it for you be back together with him.

- You're free to have your own opinions and thoughts, don't let boys think otherwise

- If a boy is being a dick to you, kick his ass. Or, just say something sassy to him so he shut up.

- Don't let boys define you for who you are.

- Speak for yourself, your gender, you family and your religion.

- If other girl is being mean to you, just remember that she's a human, all humans are bunch of screwed ups.

- Cry if you want to, let it out. Crying doesn't mean that you're weak.

- People are going to judge you no matter what.

- It's okay if you have high tastes on men.

- It's okay if you don't have tastes on men.

- It's okay to be different

- Every girl hates some parts of their body, you're not alone

- There's no such thing as prince charming. There's no night and shining armor to come and rescue you.

- The only person who can help you, is yourself.

- Get help if you're feeling depressed.

- Cutting IS NOT a fashion statement.

- Suicide IS NOT a thing to romanticize.

- Stop trying to impress people.

- Treat yourself.

GRADUATION DAY

Realising I'm about to finish high school (aka the worst place ever)

I should profoundly post pictures of people because even though I hate high school and the pupils suck in general, I still love the people that I called my friends.

You see us they way you want to see us. In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But we found out that each of us are The Brains, The Athletes, The Basket Cases, The Geeks, The Introverts, The Princess and Criminals.

Listen.

I'm a teenager.

High school sucks.

Stress upon stress.

Family problems, Friends problems.

Problems upon problems.

Study just to get good grades.

Depression, anxiety.

Got new friend, lost friend.

Parents fighting, Siblings fighting.

My room is only the place that I love.

My house is not my home.

Facing pretty girls and jerks at school.

Low self-esteem.

Not good enough.

Problems we face as Teenagers.

And sadly, the things I listed are normal.

We all basically face the same thing.

For those who have the same problems as me *pats you on the back*

So instead of babbling about how my life fucking sucks, I'll give you list that will guide you to be happier (or sassier) person.

At least on the outside so people doesn't know you're sad inside.

Friendly reminder that are things are all my suggestions.

1. Drink Tea.

FUN FACT: Drinking tea can make your brain 5% more intelligent, tea also releases stress

(especially when you're drinking on a rainy weather and it's cozy too)

Tea also preventing your teeth from cavity which is very important to me cause I got my braces off. Tea also can preventing you from CANCER.

ISN'T THAT GREAT?!

So, drink tea. Its good for you and its also will make you a happier person.

2. Read Books.

Books will make you think differently from other people and books will increase your knowledge on a language that maybe you suck at.

Book will take you everywhere. Books can make you feel emotions that you never feel before.

Books will teach you to fall in love with a character (For me is Leo Valdez)

Riding a dragon, road trips, meeting a boy who only speaks metaphors, falling in love, feeling sympathy for a characters, feeling annoyed with the character, feeling hatred for the character.

ALL THE FEELS.

And better, reading a book will make you escape from reality. And I know, sometimes we wanted that.

3. Watch movies/ tv shows/ cartoons

watch anything that will make you happy (unless its porn, so don't watch porn)

Watch a story that the main character can relate to you. So you know if they can face their problems, you can face yours too. You just have to be strong.

4. Music.

Everybody loves music. But, good music is hard to find.

Make mixed tapes for someone you love, sing your heart out in the shower. Find good music. Being friends with people who have the same music taste as you. Listen to the radio. Listen to One Direction, to KPOP to any foreign language songs. Learn other countries languages by music. Do anything and everything.

And lastly, the most importantly,

5. Stop give a fuck about stuff, care less.

If you care too much, you will be hurt. I learned to grow thick skin so no one will make me sad and the problem is, no one will make me happy either.

But I rather be like this than care about people who doesn't care about me.

I know I'm such a heartless bitch but I'm still human and I have feelings too. Maybe I don't show my emotions because I don't like people seeing me sad and I don't want people to know that I'm sad.

And that's the reason why I am who I am today.

I think, the reason why I'm so into books, tv shows, bands and movies because I rather be like that than admit that deep inside I'm a lonely, sad, fucked up human being who have more issues than Vogue.

So, that were my suggestions on how to be happy.

I hope it my suggestions is useful to my teenage friends who have the same issues as me.

The only advice that I can give you is this,

Stop believing that your sadness is beautiful and somebody will fix you and all this romantic books stuff, nobody will find you in a bookstore reading Jane Austen and want to lie with you and nobody will kiss your scars and you will not be like romeo and juliet.

You have got to be your own savior. There's no knight and shining armor will come to save you. That's bullshit. You have to be your own fucking hero and surround yourself with positivity.
